Tom Freestone

Tom Freestone is a Senior Director at Backway. He brings over 20 years of engineering and operations management experience across a broad range of industries including aerospace, medical device, high-tech, industrial, and oil & gas.

Prior to joining Beckway, Tom worked as an Operations Director at PCC, a Berkshire Hathaway company, overseeing a $300M revenue business consolidation and managing a 400-person manufacturing site. Tom is an experienced operations manager and PMO with in depth experience in driving improvements for international and domestic projects. Tom’s operations and project management background has been a key asset ensuring projects are driving to deliver value and beat their timelines. Tom has a background in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing in ISO, FDA, and FAA regulated manufacturing environments.

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder and an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
