Contributions
- Stood up a Project Management Office (PMO) to manage the integration of 15 separate work streams across both businesses
- Conducted a two-day offsite with the combined company management teams to kick-off the integration by baselining and process mapping each primary function of the business
- Coordinated 2x weekly calls with each work stream to understand each departments processes needs and aspirations for future state operations on a combined basis
Results
- The synergy goal the sponsor underwrote at time of acquisition was $27M in headcount savings with the first reduction in force resulting in $20.5M
- Found $3M to $5M more in operating expense savings
- A full library of every document and record created or used during the integration was archived in the company cloud storage by work stream and shared with each responsible user
- Produced a matrix of the individual business functions and key initiatives for management to use going forward
